English Education
According to the European Framework of Reference for Languages, Colegio Cristobal Colon has established an agreement with the British Council since the year 2002, for the application of the ESOL exams of the University of Cambridge in our venues. The design, production, realization and correction of all the exams are thoroughly controlled by expert teams in the University of Cambridge.
Preeschool
Classes are held part time in English and in Spanish. Computer Lab & Psychomotricity sessions improve the classroom activities.
Elementary
The four language skills, reading-writing-speaking and listening, are involved in the students’ learning process. At the end of the scholar year, students from 6th grade level F will be able ti sit the Key English Test (KEY) and the students from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades will be able to sit the Young Learners Exam (YLT) from the University of Cambridge.
Junior High
The program is based on basic, intermediate and advanced knowledge of English and its main objective is to improve the students English Communication skills in academic and social environment s. In 1st Grade, students from intermediate level will be able to sit the Key English Test (KET), in 2nd Grade, students from advanced level will be able to sit the Preliminary English Test (PET) and in 3rd Grade students from advanced level will be able to sit the First Certificate Exam (FCE) from the University of Cambridge in our venues.
High School
The program covers the four skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing. This means the students can use English in real everyday situations. In 1st Grade, students from advanced level will be able to sit the First Certificate Exam (FCE) , in 3rd Grade students from advanced level will be able to sit the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from the University of Cambridge. Moreover, High School students have French lessons twice a week.
